Ministry of Education Announces Recruitment of Secondary and Technical Education Teachers for 2026
The Ministry of Education has announced the opening of an external competition based on exams for the recruitment of secondary school teachers and technical education teachers for the year 2026. The written exams will start on April 13th and will continue on subsequent days.
According to the decree published in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic on February 11, 2026, a precise calendar has been set for applications. Interested candidates must register online by March 14, 2026, at the latest. The application files must then be submitted to the regional education commissions, and this must be done before March 27, 2026.
In terms of the distribution of positions, the mathematics discipline is at the top with 390 open positions. It is followed by the Arabic language with 320 positions, physical sciences with 185 positions, and Islamic education and thought with 180 positions. The ministry also plans to recruit 165 technical education teachers, 95 history-geography teachers, and 65 life and earth sciences teachers. Additionally, 50 positions are reserved for each of the following disciplines: French and civic education.
Other specialties are listed with a smaller number of positions, including 40 positions in philosophy, 25 positions in each of the mechanical and electrical specialties, and 20 positions in each of the management and economics specialties.
This recruitment operation is part of the reinforcement of human resources in secondary and technical education institutions across the country's different regions.
