All Governorates Placed on “Yellow” Vigilance Level Due to Expected Weather Disturbances
All governorates in the country have been placed on a “yellow” vigilance level for Thursday, March 5, and Friday, March 6, according to the vigilance map released by the National Meteorology Institute (INM).
What the Alert Means
The “yellow” level calls for extra caution when carrying out activities that could be affected by changing weather conditions. The INM forecasts the development of local thunderstorm cells accompanied by rainfall and isolated hail in certain areas.
Purpose of the Meteorological Vigilance System
The weather‑vigilance system is designed to:
- Inform the public, media, and emergency services about the risk of natural disasters when dangerous phenomena are expected in Tunisia.
- Highlight potential hazards and provide clear guidelines to protect lives and property.
Stay tuned to official updates and take appropriate precautions during the forecasted weather events.
