Meeting Focuses on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in Transport Sector
On Thursday morning, November 27, 2025, Minister of Transport Rachid Amri received a delegation representing a group of Chinese companies active in various fields of transportation. The meeting took place at the ministry's headquarters in the presence of several central officials and officials from subordinate structures.
According to a statement from the ministry, Rachid Amri praised the quality of Tunisian-Chinese relations and emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation, in line with the political will of the leaders of the two countries. He highlighted Tunisia's openness to pioneering markets in order to draw inspiration from successful experiences in the fields of transportation, infrastructure, smart systems, and modern technologies, with the aim of improving safety, service quality, and productivity, while stimulating investment.
The Minister recalled Tunisia's strategic position and the available national expertise, factors that can facilitate the attraction of new investments and the creation of strategic partnerships at the regional and international levels.
The session was dedicated to presenting several strategic projects related to the development of transportation infrastructure in its various modes. The Chinese delegation, in turn, presented its experiences in this sector and expressed its interest in establishing fruitful cooperation and participating in the implementation of these projects.
