Since its launch in December 2022, the national women’s entrepreneurship and investment program “Raïdat” has financed 6,629 projects and created roughly 12,000 direct jobs, according to the Ministry of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly.

In a written response to a question raised by Deputy Mariem Cherif—published on the official website of the Assembly of People's Representatives—the ministry clarified that it has targeted more than 5,000 women through a communication and awareness plan covering 93 delegations and 132 imadas, with the aim of publicising the programme and its objectives.

The ministry reported that it promoted the “Raïdat” programme through the media and by publishing a book that documents the stories of women who turned their ideas into concrete projects.

It also opened the doors of national and international fairs to beneficiaries, giving them the opportunity to showcase their products and turn their journeys into inspiring examples.

In April, the Minister of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly, Asma Jebri, announced her intention to sign new agreements with public banks in order to launch the second phase of the “Raïdat” programme for the 2026‑2030 period, following the evaluation of the first phase, which is scheduled to conclude at the end of 2025.

The minister specified that the upcoming phase will adopt a new approach, focusing on:

  • Boosting the attractiveness of innovative women‑led projects
  • Intensifying direct contact with young girls and women, especially in interior regions and the least‑served governorates
  • Supporting the development of small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs)
