Uncertainty Surrounds the Emergence of a New Candidate
The month of December is just around the corner, and with it, a scheduled general assembly election organized by the provisional committee. However, the problem at CAB goes beyond just setting a calendar. While it is essential to be methodical in administrative matters, the club's long-term viability requires stable revenue and a responsible manager to oversee its affairs.
Unfortunately, these two conditions have not been met, or at the very least, are taking time to be fulfilled. The current financial situation does not encourage individuals to take on this challenge, and the club's internal regulations are not exactly enticing for potential candidates to come forward. In fact, a significant financial contribution is required from anyone wishing to access this responsibility, making it a daunting task.
Individuals with the means and willingness to take on this role have become scarce, particularly in Bizerte. The current president, Mohamed Larbi, who was recently installed on a provisional basis for two months, deserves credit for his courage in taking on the challenge. However, the problem persists, and it is up to the committee of former presidents, known as the "comité des Sages," to play a crucial role in supporting the provisional committee and finding a suitable president to lead the club.
Rejecting Unserious Candidatures
While there may not be a rush of candidates, it is essential to decline any "fantaisiste" or unrealistic candidatures, as has been the case in the past. Rumors are circulating about potential candidates, but nothing concrete has emerged yet. In any case, regional authorities must become more involved and provide a minimum guarantee. Simply repeating the phrase "uniting the region's vital forces" has become tiresome; what is needed is actual action and commitment.
The situation at CAB requires a serious and sustainable solution, and it is up to the stakeholders to work together to find a suitable candidate who can lead the club towards a brighter future. With the general assembly election approaching, it remains to be seen whether a credible candidate will emerge in the coming weeks.
