Tunisian Ambassador to France Receives Award-Winning Professor Leïla Ben Hamad
On December 5, 2025, the Tunisian Ambassador to France, Dhia Khaled, received Professor Leïla Ben Hamad from the University of Sousse, who was recently awarded two prestigious prizes in Paris. The researcher was awarded the Prize for the Promotion of the French Language and Literature, presented by the French Academy / Institute of France, as well as the Émile Benveniste Prize, awarded by the Academy of Inscriptions and Belles-Lettres. These distinctions honor her work "The Expression of Simultaneity in French: The Case of Conjunctions", a major contribution to contemporary linguistic research and a shining example of Tunisian academic excellence.
