Tunis Court Hands Down Prison Sentences for Secret Prostitution Ring
The criminal chamber of the Tunis Court of First Instance yesterday sentenced five individuals, including the owner of a massage center and four young men, to prison terms ranging from six months to one year for engaging in secret prostitution.
According to the authorities, agents from the National Security Center of Manarat arrested the suspects after the owner of the center converted her establishment into a secret prostitution den. Clients were required to pay between 100 and 150 dinars to access the illicit services offered, reports Diwan FM.
The court considered the conversion of the massage center into a prostitution venue to be a serious violation of the law. The sentences handed down reflect the authorities' determination to firmly suppress secret prostitution activities in the capital.
