First Impressions: Sabri Lamiuchi Makes a Mark
For his first contact with the media, Sabri Lamiuchi has scored points. Serious, confident voice, and emotional at times, the new national team coach wanted to convey the image of an authoritative and confident coach.
He didn't make any promises, not even the fact of playing to win the CAN or passing the second round at the World Cup. He spoke of a "dream" that will motivate him while being "pragmatic" as he was during his career. He said he is convinced of establishing rules of life and work for the national team to succeed. For him, the range of young expatriate dual nationals is vast, and it pleasantly surprised him. These young players are "the national team of tomorrow and must play, not just be content with a few minutes."
Regarding the championship, Sabri Lamouchi finds the matches "boring". For the next World Cup, he was categorical: only three goalkeepers will be retained, not four like in the last CAN.
