During the meeting, according to a statement, the Head of State discussed the general situation in the country, criticizing the irregular and defective functioning of several public services. He pointed out the frantic maneuvers of the "fouloul" of the old system, who are trying to "catch their breath" by using all subterfuges, including duplicity, with the sole aim of exacerbating the situation in the country.
Need for Legislative, Administrative, and Cultural Revolution
While judging this situation as "unacceptable" and unable to last for long, President Saied emphasized that Tunisia, engaged in a national liberation battle, needs not only a legislative revolution but also an administrative and cultural one. He reaffirmed that the State is making sustained efforts to enable young people and victims of exclusion and corruption to recover their legitimate rights.
Social Justice and Unity
"The objectives of the December 17, 2010 revolution will only be achieved when social justice is truly established," said President Saied. On another level, the President of the Republic stressed the unity of the State, estimating that many have not yet grasped the "historic moment" the country is experiencing.
Responsibility and Patriotism
"Whoever is outside of history cannot claim to be an actor in it," the Head of State said, adding that the expectations expressed by the Tunisian people will be fulfilled by free patriots for whom responsibility is a "sacred duty" and not a "luxury" or "unjustified privileges." Whoever, regardless of their position, does not appropriate the sufferings and hopes of their people is not worthy of being invested with any responsibility, President Saied emphasized, recalling that the Tunisian people are deeply aware of the shady maneuvers being plotted behind the scenes.
