Heavy Rainfall Hits Tunisia
The National Institute of Meteorology (INM) reported that the highest amounts of rainfall were recorded on Wednesday evening in Nasrallah, in the Kairouan governorate, reaching 58 millimeters by 8:00 PM.
According to a press release published by the INM, the institute also confirmed heavy downpours in the Sousse governorate, where recorded quantities reached 40 millimeters in Chott Mariem and Kalaâ Kebira.
As stated in the same press release, the Sousse governorate was also placed under an orange alert on the vigilance map.
