Energy Update as of August 2025
As of August 2025, the total number of valid permits stood at 15, comprising 14 exploration permits and 1 prospecting permit, according to the National Energy Observatory in its report on the energy situation. The total number of concessions is 56, with 44 being in production. The State, through the Tunisian Enterprise of Petroleum Activities (ETAP), participates in 34 of these producing concessions and directly in three others. No new seismic acquisition operations were recorded as of August 2025. Finally, as of August 2025, one exploration well was drilled, along with two new development wells.
