Ministry of Equipment and Housing Announces Partial Traffic Diversion
The Ministry of Equipment and Housing informed, in a statement released this Friday, all users of regional road n° 22 (the southern entrance to the capital) of a partial traffic diversion at the level of La Charguia (Lacagna) bridge, starting from Saturday, October 18, 2025, and for a period of thirty days, as part of the continuation of the expansion project of the southern entrance to the capital - lot n° 2.
Instructions for Road Users
The Ministry called on users coming from the Grand Brûlés Hospital area and heading towards the city center (downtown, airport, Bizerte) to stay on the far right before reaching La Charguia bridge and to take the new road arranged for this purpose. It specified that traffic remained unchanged for users heading towards El Ouardia and Bab Alioua via La Charguia bridge.
Safety Precautions and Traffic Regulations
The Ministry also called on road users to exercise caution and respect directional traffic signs, while reminding heavy truck drivers of the need to comply with and respect the ban on circulation within the capital during morning and evening peak hours.
