Tunisian Para-Athletics Team Makes Impressive Showing at International Meeting
The Tunisian para-athletics team made a remarkable appearance at the international meeting "Daniela Jutzeler Memorial" held in Arbon, Switzerland, securing a total of five medals in wheelchair racing events.
The team's standout performance was achieved by Yassine Gharbi, who won the gold medal in the 400 meters (T54 category) with a time of 46''02.
Meanwhile, Paralympic champion Walid Ktila contributed to the team's success with two silver medals. He finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 1'42''56, before claiming another silver medal in the 100 meters with a time of 15''12 in the T34 category.
Tunisian athlete Mohamed Nidhal Khalifi also made a notable appearance at the competition, winning the silver medal in the 800 meters with a time of 1'40''56, as well as the bronze medal in the 100 meters with a time of 15''40 in the combined T52/T53 categories.
This participation is part of the Tunisian team's international tour in Switzerland, in preparation for upcoming international events.
The Tunisian athletes will continue their program with a participation in the Swiss Open, before taking part in the Nottwil Grand Prix para-athletics meeting.
