Tunisian Film "Le Cri de Hind Rajab" Selected for Oscars Shortlist
The National Center for Cinema and Image (CNCI) has announced the selection of the Tunisian film "Le Cri de Hind Rajab", directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, for the Oscars shortlist. This is the pre-final stage where the Academy of Arts and Sciences selects a limited number of competing works from around the world.
According to a statement released by the CNCI, this list includes films selected from several countries, listed in alphabetical order. This nomination confirms the high artistic level and creative diversity of the works in competition this year.
This choice is a major step for Tunisian cinema and strengthens its presence on the international cinematic scene, pending the announcement of the final nominations scheduled for the end of January 2026.
It is worth noting that the film is currently being screened as part of the competitions of the 36th edition of the Carthage Film Days (JCC), which will continue until December 20.
