Ministries of Agriculture and Finance Grant 50% Reduction on Fees for Biological Pesticide Users

The Ministries of Agriculture and Finance have granted a 50% reduction on fees due for analysis, registration, and field trials for users of biological pesticides and those authorized in organic production. The two ministries published, in the Official Journal No. 121 of the year 2025, a joint order dated September 30, 2025, which sets the amount and conditions for collecting the contribution resulting from phytosanitary control operations, analysis, administrative approvals, and provisional sales authorizations for agricultural pesticides. The order includes an annex in the form of a table detailing the tariffs for phytosanitary control contributions, contributions related to pesticide analysis and registration, and products intended for natural environment treatments, the tariff for contributions related to the toxicity level of pesticides, as well as the tariff for chemical and physico-chemical analysis contributions. These contributions are collected for the benefit of the State based on legal titles issued by the competent services of the Ministry of Agriculture. The generated revenue is allocated to the plant protection account opened in the State budget, in order to cover expenses related to phytosanitary control, analysis, and operations concerning agricultural pesticides. The order stipulates the repeal of the joint order of the Ministers of Agriculture and Environment and the Minister of Finance of June 3, 2011, relating to the fixing of the amount and conditions for collecting the contribution resulting from phytosanitary control operations, analysis, administrative approvals, and provisional sales authorizations for pesticides.
