National Sports Observatory Organizes Tobacco-Free Sports and Health Village
The National Sports Observatory, in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Tunisia, is organizing a tobacco-free sports and health village under the slogan "Tunisia Breathes Better" (or "Tunisia Breathes Well"), this Saturday, December 6, on Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis, the capital.
Event Objective
This health event, which will start at 9:00 a.m., aims to encourage families and children to practice sports as a healthy alternative to smoking, in order to improve the quality of life and preserve public health.
Program Highlights
The program includes demonstrations and sports activities open to all (karate, table tennis, golf, fitness) as well as workshops on quitting tobacco and healthy behaviors.
Initiative Goals
Such initiatives focus on raising awareness about the dangers of smoking, particularly among athletes, through the organization of events such as open days, workshops, and seminars bringing together doctors and athletes to share information and experiences.
