The Ben Ghayadha development project, located in the Mahdia governorate, was officially presented and promoted at the 17th edition of the International Building and Construction Exhibition "Carthage 2026", held at the Palais des Expositions du Kram in Tunis.

The event, which brought together professionals from the building, urban planning, and infrastructure sectors, also featured the participation of Zaher ben Suleiman Al Abri, a counselor from the Omani Embassy in Tunis, who was invited by the MAP - ARLYNK group, responsible for technical studies and consulting on several large urban development projects in Tunisia.

According to a statement from the Omani Embassy, this participation aims to strengthen economic and investment relations between Oman and Tunisia, as well as to develop international partnerships around sustainable infrastructure projects.

The Ben Ghayadha project is one of the main structuring projects currently under development along the Tunisian coast. It involves the development of the Ben Ghayadha lake area in Mahdia and its transformation into a smart city integrating urban, tourist, economic, and environmental dimensions.

The 17th edition of the Carthage 2026 exhibition was inaugurated on Tuesday by Kais Ben Dhiaf, the chief of staff of the Minister of Equipment and Housing, representing Minister Slah Zouari, who is also in charge of managing the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy.

Several high-ranking officials from the sector attended the inauguration, including the Director General of Housing, the President-Director General of the Urban Rehabilitation and Renovation Agency (ARRU), and representatives of several public establishments specializing in housing, urban planning, and infrastructure.

The exhibition aims to become a professional platform dedicated to the latest innovations in the construction and building materials sector. Workshops on eco-friendly construction and sustainable urban development are also scheduled.

A special pavilion was dedicated to the Ben Ghayadha project to promote this future development hub, considered one of the most ambitious urban and tourist projects on the Tunisian coast.
