Agricultural Strategy Expert Faouzi Zayani Highlights the Need for a National Export Agency

Agricultural strategy expert Faouzi Zayani has emphasized the necessity of creating a national export agency. This agency should bring together all exporters and relevant structures to oversee the export of all products, particularly olive oil, and ensure its promotion and valorization in global markets, including new markets like Brazil.

In an interview on national radio, Faouzi Zayani stated that Tunisia has the potential to penetrate numerous markets and establish permanent sales points in China, India, and Nigeria. He stressed the importance of adopting this policy before other new countries in the olive oil sector enter these markets.

Zayani recalled the measure taken by the Brazilian government to exempt all taxes on Tunisian products and olive oil, highlighting the need to focus on this country and establish a presence there.

The expert estimated that the figures recorded in the olive and olive oil sector can also serve as a tool for global promotion and marketing, indicating that the number of medals won by Tunisia can reach up to 300 per year, in addition to holding the second place worldwide for olive oil exports.

Zayani added that all these riches must be valued and exploited in promotional operations, whether in airports or ports, especially since the season is promising and production estimates are very good.
