Elysée Announces Recognition of Palestine by Ten Countries
The Elysée has announced that ten countries, including France, will recognize the State of Palestine during a conference in New York scheduled for next Monday. In a statement released on Friday evening, the French presidency warned that the annexation of occupied West Bank, a measure recently mentioned by Israeli officials, constitutes a "clear red line". An advisor to President Emmanuel Macron confirmed that "ten countries have decided... to recognize the State of Palestine" and will participate in a conference to be held in New York on Monday, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings. - San Marino Macron will deliver a speech to officially recognize the Palestinian state at around 3:00 PM New York time during this conference, which he will co-chair with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who will intervene via video conference "according to the latest information available", specified the French source.
