Record-Breaking Occupancy Rates in Yasmine Hammamet for New Year's Celebrations
The Regional Commissioner for Tourism in Yasmine Hammamet, Khaled Glouia, confirmed that hotel occupancy rates during New Year's celebrations will range from 95 to 100%.
A Record Breakthrough in the Algerian Market
In a statement given to the radio today, he specified that the Algerian market has recorded historic numbers this year compared to the previous year. From January 1st to December 10th, there was a 45% increase in arrivals and a 55% increase in overnight stays.
Indicators Exceeding Reference Years
Mr. Glouia also highlighted that the tourist indicators in the area are excellent, surpassing the results of 2024 as well as those of the reference year 2019. Since the beginning of the year and up to December 10th, a 14% growth in overnight stays was recorded.
Security and Quality of Service
The commissioner stated that the services of the regional tourism delegation work in close coordination with regional authorities to ensure the best conditions for Tunisian and foreign tourists. He noted that:
- Sanitary controls have been intensified.
- The state of readiness of hotel units and tourist restaurants is subject to rigorous inspections.
