It's a Day Like Today, December 2, 2001

On this day, we lost the distinguished woman, animator, presenter, and self-taught artist, Naziha Maghrebi, at the height of her career, in the prime of her artistic and media blossoming, remarkable and generous. She was the first face to appear on the small screen to announce the birth of Tunisian Television, on May 31, 1966, at a time when broadcasting was in black and white. Naziha was a designer and host of artistic and cultural television programs, high-quality and carefully crafted interview shows, which she presented with her fluid, calm, and captivating style, as well as with the eloquence, precision, and delicacy of her sustained language, devoid of any attempt to excite, sneaky approach, or emphatic words.
