Tunisian Journalists Stage National Protest to Defend Rights
Tunisian journalists organized a national protest today, Thursday, November 20, 2025, to defend their rights, denounce judicial prosecutions targeting the profession, and demand the cancellation of Decree-Law 54. The National Syndicate of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) is calling for the issuance of professional cards, the update of public media statutes, the lifting of administrative restrictions, and the regularization of precarious situations, urging unity in the sector and respect for press freedom.
