Tunisian Minister of National Defense Highlights Importance of Professional and Technological Training
During the plenary session dedicated to the budget of the Ministry of National Defense, Khaled Shili emphasized the importance of professional and technological training in the modernization strategy of the Tunisian army. The minister recalled that his department has 13 training centers offering 61 specialties and 11 technical workshops, aimed at training a qualified workforce in line with the needs of the labor market. This approach aims to strengthen the employability of young Tunisians and encourage their engagement in defense and security careers. Shili also mentioned the ministry's contribution to scientific research, citing the pilot project of cloud seeding using a C-730 aircraft to increase the water level of the Sidi Salem dam. According to the minister, this project illustrates the army's commitment to sustainable development and scientific innovation, essential pillars of a modern and proactive defense.
