Volleyball (National A): ESS-EST Match to be Replayed Behind Closed Doors
The Tunisian Volleyball Federation (FTVB) has decided to replay the match between Étoile Sportive du Sahel (ESS) and Espérance Sportive de Tunis (EST), which was part of the 4th day of the playoffs for the National Division "A" championship, at a later date and behind closed doors.
Sanctions Against Étoile du Sahel
In addition to this decision, the Federation has imposed the following sanctions against Étoile du Sahel following the incidents that occurred during the match:
- Two matches to be played behind closed doors
- A fine of 600 dinars
Recall of Events
For reference, the match, which took place last Saturday at the M'saken hall, was interrupted during the fourth set when Étoile du Sahel was leading 2-1. The match was stopped due to the injury of Espérance player Mohamed Ben Youssef, who was hit by a projectile thrown from the stands, requiring his immediate transfer to a clinic.
