Tunisian Foreign Minister Meets with European Commissioner to Strengthen Partnership
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, met with European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Šuica, on Thursday at the ministry's headquarters. The meeting focused on reinforcing the Tunisian-European partnership ahead of the 16th session of the Tunisia-EU Association Council, scheduled for late October.

During a joint press conference, the Tunisian Foreign Minister specified that the meeting allowed for an examination of bilateral cooperation in key sectors, including:

He emphasized that this partnership must be based on "mutual respect, reciprocity, and respect for Tunisia's choices." European Commissioner's Statement
Commissioner Dubravka Šuica highlighted the joint achievements, citing European support for over 400,000 jobs in Tunisia and opportunities offered to young Tunisians. She reaffirmed Europe's commitment to the Tunisian economy. Regarding the "Mediterranean Pact," Ms. Šuica specified that it would be accompanied by short- and medium-term action programs based on "mutual understanding" and targeting specific objectives for the entire Mediterranean region.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss preparations for the 16th session of the Tunisia-EU Association Council. This session holds symbolic importance, as it coincides with the 30th anniversary of the signing of the association agreement between the two parties.
