Run For Brave Heart Marathon to Take Place in Nabeul on November 2

The Run For Brave Heart marathon is set to take place in Nabeul on November 2, promoting a day of sports, solidarity, and cardiovascular health. Anis Mabrouki, a member of the organizing committee, announced that over 1,000 participants will take part in this second edition, which includes three courses: a 1 km event for children, a 5 km event open to all, and a 10 km event reserved for professional runners.

Marathon Course and Events

The marathon course will run along Nabeul's tourist route, Mabrouki stated in a declaration to the TAP agency, specifying that the event will span two days (November 1 and 2) with the setup of a medical village dedicated to prevention and awareness of cardiovascular disease risks. A large number of cardiologists from the public and private sectors will be present, and two free screening workshops will be available to participants, focusing on diabetes and hypertension, two of the main risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.

Importance of Physical Activity

Mabrouki emphasized the importance of physical activity, "which must be rooted in the culture and lifestyle of Tunisians," recalling that sports play a crucial role in preventing artery hardening, thrombosis, and cardiac accidents. He added that this second edition is primarily aimed at adults, whereas the first edition, "Run For Little Heart," held in Carthage, was dedicated to children suffering from congenital heart defects.

Charity and Support

The proceeds from the Run For Brave Heart marathon will be used to fund medical caravans and support the state's efforts in combating cardiovascular diseases, he highlighted.
