Tunisian Court Orders Detention of Sister of 17-Year-Old Student's Killer
The public prosecutor's office near the Court of First Instance of Tunis 2 has ordered the detention of the sister of the killer of a 17-year-old student, who was stabbed in the heart with a large knife in the Ezzahrouni region last Saturday.
A security source told Diwan FM that the arrest of the suspect came after she deliberately tried to get rid of the murder weapon by throwing it into the Sejoumi sebkha.
It is recalled that the El Manoubia neighborhood in Ezzahrouni (Tunis governorate) was the scene of a homicide crime on the night of Saturday, December 13, 2025, following a fight between two young people, which ended with one of them stabbing the other, resulting in their death.
Agents from the Ezzahrouni national security post managed to arrest the suspect, who confessed to committing the crime with a large knife due to old differences and motives between the two parties, according to a security source who confirmed this to Diwan FM.
