Morocco Announces the Start of Ramadan 1447 AH on Thursday, February 19, 2026

The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has officially set Thursday, February 19 2026, as the first day of the month of Ramadan 1447 AH.

According to a statement from the ministry, the lunar crescent marking the beginning of the sacred month was sighted on Wednesday evening, corresponding to the 29th of Sha‘ban 1447.

The confirmation of this sighting therefore establishes the start of the fast for the entire kingdom beginning on Thursday.
