Alarm Sounded on Plight of Tunisian Engineers

The Dean of the Order of Engineers, Mohsen Gharssi, has sounded the alarm on the difficult situation faced by engineers in Tunisia, both materially and socially, stating that over 45,000 of them have left the country out of a total of 110,000 registered with the Order.

Supervising the Celebration of Engineers' Day

Overseeing the celebration of Engineers' Day on Tuesday in Zaghouan, alongside the region's governor, Karim Barnaji, Gharssi recalled that the agreement concluded in February 2021 between the government and the Order, regarding the extension of a specific premium to public sector engineers, has yet to be implemented. This year's celebration was held under the theme "The Engineer, a Lever for Sustainable Development and the Circular Economy".

Focus on Sustainable Development and Circular Economy

The event was marked by two interventions focused on sustainable development and the circular economy, as well as the presentation of a project to create a green zone in the Djebel Oust industrial area, in partnership between the Order of Engineers and the Maintenance and Management Group of the industrial zone.

Tribute to Engineers

A tribute was also paid to several engineers working in both the public and private sectors, recognizing their contributions and dedication to their field.
