Meeting Held to Discuss Enfidha Agricultural Complex

A working session was held on Thursday at the Sousse Governorate headquarters, dedicated to monitoring the situation of the Enfidha agricultural complex. The Governor of Sousse, Sofiene Tanfouri, indicated that this meeting is part of the preparations for the 2025/2026 agricultural season and olive harvest campaign. It also allowed for the evaluation of the steps in the complex's recovery plan and the implementation of decisions made during the meeting on April 11, 2025. During the session, the Regional Commissioner for Agricultural Development and the Director of the complex presented a report on the progress of the rescue plan, as well as ongoing and planned medium-term actions. The Governor emphasized the willingness of central and regional authorities to ensure optimal management of state-owned lands, considered a pillar of sustainable development and national food security. He also announced the receipt, on Wednesday evening, of a first shipment of tractors intended to improve the complex's performance and productivity. For his part, the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries, Adel Skouhi, reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to continuing the implementation of the recovery plan in order to put the complex back on track and strengthen its role in the regional vegetable and animal sectors. The complex's officials were called upon to redouble their efforts to ensure the smooth running of activities and to apply the necessary legal measures, in respect of the principle of transparency and good governance.
