World Osteoporosis Day: Raising Awareness and Promoting Healthy Lifestyles
On the occasion of World Osteoporosis Day, which takes place on October 20th every year, the Orthopedic and Rheumatology Department of Mongi Slim University Hospital in La Marsa is organizing a public awareness day on osteoporosis this Saturday, October 4th, with the support of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF).
Objective and Target Audience
This event aims to provide nutritional advice and guidelines for a healthy lifestyle, while presenting the available diagnostic and treatment options in Tunisia. The campaign primarily targets menopausal women and citizens over the age of fifty.
Program Highlights
The program will feature:
- Interactive awareness spaces with visual presentations, evaluations, and measurements
- Physical exercise sessions to prevent fractures and falls
- A medical consultation desk for individual consultations
- A questionnaire for participants to assess their knowledge and risk factors
