Heroic Act of Two Tunisian Fishermen Saves Endangered Sea Turtle

In a heartwarming display of compassion and bravery, two fishermen from Monastir, Tunisia, rescued a critically endangered sea turtle from a fishing net on Friday. The turtle, later named "Esra" by its rescuers, was found entangled in the net and was immediately freed.

The heroic act was quickly reported to the local marine conservation organization, "Notre Grand Bleu," which dispatched a team to the scene to take custody of the turtle. Esra was then transferred to the specialized marine animal care center at the National Institute of Sciences and Technologies of the Sea (INSTM) for further treatment and care.

The team at INSTM will provide Esra with the necessary medical attention and closely monitor its progress until it is fully recovered and ready to be released back into the wild. This selfless act by the two fishermen has not only saved the life of this magnificent creature but also highlights the importance of marine conservation and the need for responsible fishing practices.
