Young Man from Moknine Dies After Sudden Health Deterioration Linked to Drug Ingestion
A young man native to the town of Moknine has died following a rapid decline in his health after swallowing a large quantity of narcotic substances.
The incident occurred while National Security units from Mahdia were pursuing him in connection with a drug‑trafficking case. Frightened, the suspect swallowed the drugs, causing an overdose.
Despite being immediately transferred to a hospital and the medical teams’ efforts to revive him, the young man unfortunately passed away.
According to an informed source cited by Jawhara FM, the individual tried to hide evidence before the police arrived by ingesting the substances he possessed. This act triggered a severe medical complication, leading to his urgent transport to the hospital. Even with the medical staff’s attempts to save him, he did not survive.
