Tunisia to Participate in Non-Aligned Movement Ministerial Meeting
On instructions from the President of the Republic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Mohamed Ali Nafti, will lead the Tunisian delegation participating in the ministerial meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, to be held in Kampala, Uganda, on October 15 and 16, 2025, under the theme "Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Prosperity".
Objective of the Meeting
This meeting will provide an opportunity to review the progress made in implementing the outcomes of the 19th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement, which was held in Kampala from June 15 to 20, 2025.
Discussion Topics
The meeting will also allow for discussions on ways to address common global challenges facing Southern countries and solutions that ensure sustainable development for all, as well as elaborating a new vision to strengthen multilateralism, cooperation, and international solidarity.
Reaffirming Principles
This participation also represents a new opportunity to reaffirm the principles of Bandung and Belgrade, which are based on strengthening the foundations of independence, sovereignty, mutual respect, non-interference in the affairs of other states, and equitable international cooperation to address current political and economic challenges, which are a constant in our country's foreign policy.
Bilateral Meetings
On the sidelines of this ministerial meeting, the Minister will hold meetings with several of his counterparts to strengthen consultation, examine ways to promote bilateral cooperation, and establish new partnerships, particularly at the level of international and regional organizations.
