Key Highlights of the Minister's Address
The Minister emphasized, in his speech on this occasion, that strengthening social cohesion and inclusive governance is an essential condition for increasing the resilience of societies and establishing a just and lasting peace. The Minister also highlighted the central role of civilian protection in peace operations, recalling the recommendations of the international conference held in Tunis in July 2025 on "The Role of Armed Forces in Civilian Protection in Peacekeeping Operations".

The Minister reiterated Tunisia's historical commitment to UN peacekeeping operations and called for the mobilization of international, regional, and financial partners to implement comprehensive peacebuilding strategies that promote stability and sustainable development.
