Boosting Synergy for Sustainable Development: Anpr Renews Commitment to Environmental Transition
The National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (Anpr) has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental transition through a new session of Mobidoc Green, a program aimed at fostering synergy between the three pillars of sustainable development: government institutions, universities, research centers, and the private sector.
A Platform for Environmental Research
Mobidoc Green, launched to support doctoral students conducting research in the environmental field, represents a key tool for Anpr to reinforce its support for the eco-friendly and sustainable economy, in line with the requirements of the "Aresse" project, a research and higher education support project in the environmental sector, funded by the European Union.
The program's primary objective is to establish connections between candidates and socio-economic stakeholders (governmental, private, or associative) to implement environmentally and sustainably focused projects.
A Strong Network of Partners
The current session of Mobidoc Green brings together dozens of partners invested in the environmental sector. This includes:
- Thirty-nine research structures affiliated with fourteen higher education institutions, belonging to seven universities and seven research centers.
- Thirty-six socio-economic partners, comprising twenty-five private companies, six associations, four public establishments, and one startup.
Fostering Win-Win Partnerships
Thirty-nine partnership conventions have been signed between the Mobidoc Green candidate doctoral students and socio-economic partners. This mutually beneficial partnership offers doctoral students the opportunity to benefit from professional internships focused on the realization of their research projects.
A Pathway to Professional and Environmental Engagement
This initiation to professional life and environmental engagement through the realization of an innovative project will greatly benefit the doctoral student's academic and professional journey. Meanwhile, partner companies will benefit from scientific and environmental research.
Prioritized Environmental and Sustainable Development Sectors
The selected projects focus on high-priority environmental and sustainable development sectors, including:
- Climate change mitigation
- Circular economy
- Waste management and valorization
- Renewable energies and energy diversity
- Biodiversity preservation
- Sustainable management of natural resources
- Urbanization and sustainable cities
A Catalyst for Regional Development
According to Dr. Chedly Abdelly, Anpr's Director-General and National Coordinator of the Aresse project, the program will facilitate the establishment of partnerships between businesses and excellence structures, such as technopoles and research centers. This will particularly benefit actors from disadvantaged regions, through projects aligned with national priorities for environmental protection and ecological transition.
