Ministry of National Defense Opens Online Registration for Civilian and Military Personnel
The Ministry of National Defense has officially opened online registration for civilians and military personnel wishing to join the military's vocational training centers and apprenticeship workshops. Candidates now have until May 31st to submit their applications and hope to join one of the institution's offered courses.
On Radio Nationale this Thursday, May 14th, 2026, Captain Thouraya Hamdouni provided further details on the scope of this initiative. She reminded that the Ministry relies on a network of twelve training centers strategically located throughout Tunisia. These structures operate under the dual tutelage of the Ministries of Defense and Employment, ensuring a rigorous pedagogy and recognition on the job market.
The training offer is divided into two main paths tailored to the educational levels of applicants. The first leads to the attainment of a professional technician's certificate after two years of study for those who have completed their second year of secondary school. The second allows for the acquisition of a professional aptitude certificate in twelve months for students from the ninth year of basic education. In addition to these classic cycles, the institution offers sixteen specialties in apprenticeship form through two-year contracts, providing an additional 400 places leading to national diplomas.
Captain Hamdouni emphasized that the procedures have been simplified thanks to digitization. Applicants must necessarily pass through the official portal of the Ministry of National Defense to fill out the dedicated electronic form. To accompany candidates in their procedures or respond to their questions, the General Directorate of Personnel and Training has also made available direct phone lines and a physical reception desk within its premises in Tunis.
