Metro Line 1 in Tunis to be Temporarily Closed on Sunday, May 24, 2026
The Société des Transports de Tunis (Transtu) would like to inform its valued customers that due to the planned works by the Ministry of Equipment for the development of the southern entrance of the capital, the metro service on Line 1 will be completely interrupted throughout the day on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
As a result, the transportation of passengers between the Barcelona station and the Ben Arous terminal will be ensured by buses.
Transtu kindly requests that users show understanding in the face of this measure and informs them that normal traffic on this line will resume as early as the first trips on Monday, May 25, 2026.
