Labor Day Celebrations: Ministry of Social Affairs Honors Outstanding Workers

On the occasion of Labor Day, celebrated on Friday, May 1st, the Ministry of Social Affairs organized a ceremony to honor outstanding workers in the public and private sectors.

The ministry also awarded prizes for social progress, consultative commissions of enterprises, and employee delegates, as well as the National Prize for Health and Safety at Work.

The Outstanding Worker Award, in the category of state agents, local authorities, and administrative public establishments for the year 2025, was awarded to:

  • Hassène Jomai (Assembly of Representatives of the People)
  • Selma Bouazza (National Council of Regions and Districts)
  • Kamel Bey (Presidency of the Government)
  • Idriss Jebali (Ministry of Justice)
  • Farouk Bennour (Ministry of National Defense)
  • Ridha Belal (Municipality of Boussalem, Ministry of the Interior)
  • Ramzi Yahiaoui (Ministry of Finance)
  • Arbi Gharbi (Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries)
  • Farhat Kaâroud (Regional Commission for Agricultural Development in Tataouine, Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources, and Fisheries)
  • Habib Selimi (Regional Education Commission, Sfax 2, Ministry of Education)
  • Jameleddine Hamdi (Ministry of Equipment and Housing)
  • Slim Ben Amor (Ministry of State Domains and Land Affairs)
  • Sayda El Fray (Ministry of Religious Affairs)
  • Kamel Silline (Integrated Youth and Childhood Center of Mornag, Ministry of Family, Women, Childhood, and Elderly)
  • Rechid Bellali (Regional Cultural Affairs Commission of Ben Arous, Ministry of Cultural Affairs)

In the category of employees in the public and private sectors subject to the Labor Code, the Outstanding Worker Award for the year 2025 was awarded to:

  • Imed Jouiri (National Foundation for the Improvement of the Arabian Horse Breed, Ariana Governorate)
  • Amel Bedoui Nouira (National Office of Handicrafts, Manouba Governorate)

The Social Progress Award for the year 2025 was awarded to Mohamed Amine Rhouma, of Magharebia Technologies and Works (MTT), located in Ben Arous Governorate.

The Health and Safety at Work Award for the year 2025 was awarded to:

  • Kais Hajji (Teriak Laboratories, Zaghouan Governorate)
  • Fraj Mâalej (Pharmacare Laboratories, Sfax Governorate)
  • Chaïma Fersi (Gruner Company, Manouba Governorate)

The Outstanding Worker Award aims to recognize public sector agents and private sector employees who have distinguished themselves in the exercise of their functions through their dynamism, innovation, and initiative, as well as their commitment to increasing production, improving productivity and quality, and evolving professionally by acquiring new skills, contributing to the development of their institution and the national economy.

Additionally, the prize for consultative commissions of enterprises and employee delegates aims to honor structures that have distinguished themselves by their active contribution to improving professional relationships within the company, particularly through the strengthening of dialogue and consultation, the development of human resources, the prevention of occupational risks, the promotion of social activities for the benefit of workers and their families, and the organization of work to improve production and productivity.

The Social Progress Award is awarded to companies in the public and private sectors that have distinguished themselves by their continuous efforts to improve working conditions to make them favorable to the preservation of health within the company.

The Health and Safety at Work Award is awarded to honor companies that have distinguished themselves by their efforts to improve collective working conditions, promote dialogue between social partners, develop professional skills, strengthen social action for the benefit of workers, create and preserve jobs, improve the living conditions of workers and their families, and strengthen the resilience of the company by developing its ability to face competition.
