Security Forces Crack Down on Cigarette Smuggling in Manzel Temim
Joint Operation Leads to Arrest and Seizure of Contraband Cigarettes
The security forces of Manzel Temim, in collaboration with the economic control agents of Nabeul, conducted a raid on a local residence last night. The operation resulted in the arrest of one person and the seizure of over 5,000 packets of cigarettes of unknown origin, suspected of being intended for speculation and monopoly.
According to a security source quoted by Diwan FM, the public prosecutor's office ordered the detention of the suspect for illegal entry into the cigarette distribution circuits. This operation is part of the authorities' efforts to combat the illegal tobacco trade and protect the local economy.
