Seizure and Destruction of Spoiled Food Products in Mahdia
A quantity of 2.5 tons of salted sardines (dried fish) was seized and destroyed in Mahdia, announced Makki Dhiaf, regional coordinator of the National Institute for Sanitary Security of Food Products (INSSPA).

This operation was conducted as part of a joint campaign with the Maritime Orientation Brigade and the Unit for the Prevention of Terrorism.
Conditions of the Seized Products
The seized products were prepared in an anarchic manner near a landfill, under conditions that did not respect any hygiene standards, making them unfit for human consumption, according to the authorities.
Additional Seizures
During the same operation, control agents also seized 80 kilograms of confectionery, some of which were expired, and others contained dyes prohibited by Tunisian regulations.
Judicial Follow-up
The judiciary was immediately informed: the prosecutor's office ordered the destruction of all seized quantities, and reports of contravention were drawn up against the individuals involved.
