Tunisian Senior Pétanque Team Wins 13 Medals at African Championship
The Tunisian senior pétanque team (men and women) harvested 13 medals (4 gold, 8 silver, and 1 bronze) at the end of the African championship of the discipline, a qualifying event for the 2026 World Championship, which took place from September 2 to 7 in Mauritius Island.
The gold medals were won by the pair Achraf Zouaoui-Mourad Ayadi in men's doubles, by Yosra Mhamedi and Hana Dridi in the women's rapid fire doubles, by Achraf Zouaoui in the shooting and point event, and by Mourad Ayadi in the individual event.
As a reminder, the Tunisian team, coached by Wael Balti, is represented in this continental competition by Yosra Mhamedi and Hana Dridi among the senior girls and by Achraf Zouaoui, Mourad Ayadi, and Oussama Balti among the senior boys.
