President of Tunisian Consumer Guidance Organization Confirms Butchers' Adherence to Initiative to Reduce Red Meat Prices
The President of the Tunisian Consumer Guidance Organization, Lotfi Riahi, confirmed today, Monday, September 29, 2025, that many butchers have joined the initiative of the President of the Republic to reduce the prices of red meat. During his intervention on the show "What's Happening in Tunisia and the World" on National Radio, Riahi added that merchant lobbies controlling the market have held on to excessive prices, ranging from 50 to 60 dinars. Lotfi Riahi urged all butchers to join this presidential initiative, especially since production is available, calling for an end to obstinacy as it serves no purpose.
