PSSE Defeats SG and Takes Lead in Group B, While UST Closes in on Leader CSHL in Group A

The 12th day of L2 kicked off strongly last Saturday in Group A, with leader CSHL being held to a draw, OCK bouncing back, AS Agareb avoiding condemnation, ESFH being corrected, and the SAMB-CSC duo being threatened in the standings. Yesterday, the update of this round offered nine matches, two to conclude the Group A schedule and seven other matches in the Group B agenda. Let's start with the two remaining matches in Group A between Baath Bouhajla and Association Mégrine Sport. BSB opened the scoring with Jaafer Moussa, but Marouen Dhahri equalized. In the second half, AMS took the lead with Dhaker Boufayed 20 minutes from the end. However, just as a win for the southern suburbs team seemed imminent, BSB snatched a draw at the end with a providential goal from Abdelkader Naghmouchi. In the Group A match, US Tataouine, runner-up to CSHL, traveled to SCBA with the goal of winning and closing in on the leader. After pushing hard in the first half, UST finally broke through the opponent's defense in the final minutes with a goal from Hassan Chelly. In the second half, SCBA launched a counterattack and equalized with Ayoub Dakhli. However, UST quickly regained the lead with Wajih Aouani. Note that SCBA finished the match with a numerical disadvantage after Seif Aouinet's expulsion and failed to equalize. Thanks to this victory, UST is now closer to CSHL at the top of the standings.

USKE and USB Prove Unbeatable

In Group B, the top match between Progrès Sakiet Eddaier and leader Stayda drew attention with a perilous away trip for the leader. In the first half, the locals benefited from a penalty converted by Hamdi Jinaoui, and just before the break, SG equalized with Walid Jerbi. The match intensified in the second half with a second goal from PSSE. Meanwhile, Jendouba Sport had a good opportunity against SCM, who are fighting to stay in the league. In this match, Jendouba surprised their opponent with an early goal from Bilel Ouni, but SCM restored balance with Mohamed Aziz Jarou. SCM then took the lead with an own goal from Alaâ Bouslimi. In the second half, Jendouba's tenacity paid off with a second goal from Taher Mani, and the score remained unchanged. In the Sahel region, Kalaâ Sport hosted US Ksour Essef in a match between two teams with different standings. The match started with a festival of goals, as USKE opened the scoring with Belghith, the locals equalized with Mhamdi, and the visitors regained the lead with Ben Turkia on a penalty. Belghith then scored again, and Dhaflaoui sealed the deal. Although Kalaâ Sport was stunned, they managed to reduce the deficit with another goal from Mhamdi. As the first half approached its end, USKE led 4-2. After the break, the match resumed with intensity, and the Sahelians reduced the deficit again. The score remained unchanged, ending a spectacular and thrilling match. In Gafsa, EGSG faced AS Ariana and needed to validate their position to avoid falling behind. The match was tight, with a goalless draw at halftime, and neither team managed to force a win. At the CS Redeyef stadium, ASK conceded a goal in the first half's additional time, scored by Fedi Kaouech. It took until 10 minutes from the end for AS Kasserine to equalize with Wael Ferjani, and 5 minutes later, they took the lead with Rayan Abdelli. Note that CSR's Yassine Boukhatem received a red card, and ASK ultimately won. In Jelma, ASJ, a team in the relegation zone, opened the scoring against CS Korba with Omar Rhimi and maintained the lead until the end, securing a crucial win in their fight to stay in the league. Meanwhile, ESB quickly scored two goals against OSB, courtesy of Hazem Mbarek and Mehdi Khairi, and added two more after the break with Ahmed Chaambi and Oussema Gnounou, prolonging OSB's suffering until the end. As the last-placed team, OSB is now a shadow of its former self, distanced and doomed.
