Tunisian President Kais Saïed received a visit from Mr. Brahim Bouderbala, President of the Assembly of the Representatives of the People, and Mr. Imed Derbali, President of the National Council of Regions and Districts, at the Carthage Palace on May 4.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of State emphasized that everyone is united on the same front to face the various challenges. He stated that the nation brings everyone together, even when positions diverge and approaches differ.

President Saïed reiterated that the management of state affairs cannot be based on:

  • Suspect publications (posts) or pages
  • The spread of lies and calumnies

In this context, he pointed out certain declarations that reflect a state of confusion, powerlessness, and failure among known parties. These parties, clinging to their illusions, still bet on a return to the past.

Finally, the Head of State concluded by stating that the Tunisian people will not forget and will not accept any return to the past. The people aspire to build their own future through their constitutional institutions, which they established by their own will during the referendum.
