Israeli Warplanes Launch New Wave of Strikes on Southern Beirut Suburbs
The Israeli military carried out a fresh series of air attacks on Friday targeting the southern suburbs of Lebanon’s capital, Beirut, following a night of intense bombardment, according to the Lebanese News Agency (ANI).
- Casualties: At least 123 people have been killed in Lebanon as a result of the Israeli strikes, with 683 injured since Monday, according to the latest figures released by Lebanese authorities.
- Health Ministry warning: The Lebanese Ministry of Health stated in an official communiqué that the death toll could rise further, as hospitals continue to receive new victims.
Despite the cease‑fire agreement that has been in place since the end of November 2024, the Israeli army persists in its assaults on Lebanon, leaving hundreds of martyrs and wounded across the country.
