Effective Finishing Secures Win for Etoile

The Etoile team made the most of two scoring opportunities, which ultimately made the difference in the game.

Early Chance for Marsois

The Marsois team started strong, creating a scoring chance in the first minute of play: a quick move down the left wing and a shot by Benhmida was deflected into a corner by the Etoile goalkeeper (1').

Etoile's First Chance

For the visiting team, it wasn't until the 38th minute that they had their first real scoring chance: Anen made a run down the left, crossed the ball to Bou-Ghattas, who headed the ball on the last line of defense, before the Marsois defense cleared the danger. A few minutes later, Benhmida missed a clear chance to score when his shot grazed the left post of Ben Hassene's goal (44'). In summary, the first half was just average, with few clear scoring opportunities.

Second-Half Changes Pay Off

In the second half, Etoile's coach, Mohamed Ali Nafkha, made a change that paid off. He brought in Mohamed Hedi Bouslama in place of Algerian player Al Glaieb at the 60-minute mark. Just three minutes after coming on, Bouslama changed the game: Fadi Ben Choug dribbled past a defender before taking a shot that was cleared by Sami Hlel, but Bouslama followed up and scored directly into the goal, leaving the Marsois goalkeeper no time to react (63').

Doubling the Lead

A few minutes later, Raki Aouani took advantage of the momentum and doubled the lead. He made a run down the right, dribbling past three Marsois defenders before beating the goalkeeper with a cross-shot, despite the goalkeeper having closed off the angle (68').

Preserving the Lead

The Etoile team then showed their professionalism in preserving their lead. The Marsois team, on the other hand, needs to seriously rethink their strategy.
