Launch of the "Lem7ata" Campaign: Promoting the Positive Impact of Tunisian Civil Society

As part of the Ta'ziz project - Sustainability and Empowerment of Tunisian Civil Society, funded by the European Union and the Canadian Embassy, the Laboratory of Social and Solidarity Economy, Lab'ess, is launching the "Lem7ata" campaign, a positive narrative communication initiative that highlights local associations and their concrete impact on citizens' lives.

A Project Serving the Strengthening of Civil Society

Since its launch in 2024, the Ta'ziz project has been working to strengthen the resilience, governance, and financial autonomy of Tunisian civil society organizations (CSOs). Led by Lab'ess, in partnership with the El Kawakibi Center for Democratic Transition, Ta'ziz contributes to the creation of a more sustainable, inclusive, and participatory environment, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. After a first year dedicated to training, support, and funding of high-impact associations, the project is now entering a new phase of valorization of their actions through the "Lem7ata" campaign.

A Positive Narrative Campaign: Lem7ata

"Lem7ata" - literally "the station" - aims to be a symbolic meeting point between citizens, associations, and institutions. Through a series of awareness videos broadcast on Lab'ess' social networks, the campaign highlights inspiring stories of engagement and solidarity from the Tunisian associative fabric. This approach aims to change the way local associations are perceived and to strengthen trust between citizens and civil society. "With Lem7ata, we want to tell the story of civil society differently: through its successes, creativity, and human impact," explains Sarra Makhlouf, project manager at Lab'ess.

A Public Event in Front of the Tunis Train Station (Place Barcelone)

To mark the official launch of the campaign, a public event will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in front of the Tunis train station (Place Barcelone). This event will bring together local associations, citizens, and institutional partners. Association stands, participatory workshops, and artistic performances will allow the public to discover the concrete initiatives and impact of Tunisian civil society.
