Tunis Court Sentences Housemaid to 20 Years in Prison for Murder
The criminal chamber of the Tunis Court of First Instance has sentenced a housemaid to 20 years in prison for the murder of her employer. She was found guilty of stabbing her employer to death inside his home in La Marsa, a suburb in the north of the capital.

After her arrest, the accused had confessed to the crime. She claimed that the victim had tried to abuse her in the absence of other family members, which led her to commit the act. She was then placed in provisional detention until her trial.
