Nobel Prize in Literature 2025
The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced on Thursday that Hungarian writer László Krasznahorkai is the winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature for the year 2025. The value of this prize, awarded by the Academy, amounts to 11 million Swedish crowns (approximately $1.2 million). Mats Malm, the permanent secretary of the Academy, stated: "We have awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature 2025 to Hungarian writer László Krasznahorkai for his literary works that possess an appeal and vision affirming the power of art amidst a state of horror and terror."
